Season 1 will be split into two parts over the next few months, starting on August 29, 2024. The next update is scheduled for October 10, 2024. These will be the next major updates, following the preseason update on July 31, 2024.

New Sniper Descendant: Hailey
Hailey will be joining the roster as the newest Descendant in the game in Season 1. She will be the second Descendant with Ice as her attribute, following Viessa, and will wield a sniper rifle as her signature weapon.

The next Descendant to receive an Ultimate treatment will be Freyna. She was teased in the recent trailer and may play a significant role in the upcoming story or episode updates of the game.

Descendant Daily Task Event
For the launch of Season 1: Invasion, a new event called the Descendant Daily Task will begin from 8/29/2024 22:00 PDT through 9/8/2024 23:59 PDT. Players can participate in the event by completing the daily and limited time challenges.

Once the challenges have been completed, the rewards can be claimed from the mailbox.

Once a limited-time challenge has been completed, the rewards can only be claimed once. Like the daily challenge rewards, they can also be claimed from the mailbox.
New Colossus
The new Colossus is called the Death Stalker, which is touted as the strongest Colossus the Descendants have ever faced. The new Colossus primarily uses Toxic and uses skills that bring Descendants closer to death!
How to Beat Death Stalker
Invasion Dungeon
Invasion Dungeons occur randomly in two hard difficulty dungeons. Players can choose to enter either the existing operations or the Invasions.
Designed to test the Descendant's mettle, Invasions can only be done solo.

Season 1 Episode: Invasion
Along with the new dungeon and characters mentioned above, The First Descendant will also introduce new episodes when the first season drops, tying all the new content into one major story update. The first episode will be called Invasion.
Inversion Reinforcement
Inversion Reinforcement allows descendants to gain beneficial effects for progressing through the season. The developers plan to have different Inversion Reinforcement effects for each season, tailored to that season's content.

ETA-0
ETA-0 is a vendor who sells items in exchange for ETA-0 vouchers. It only appears once a week, and the items it offers changes weekly.
