What is the St. Olaf Lutheran Church Foundation?	What is it's purpose?	Who Governs It?
The St. Olaf Lutheran Church Foundation was established in 1971 under Minnesota laws as tax exempt, non-profit corporation to administer the receipt and disbursement of gifts to the Foundation.	The Purpose of the Foundation is to give aid and service to others above and beyond the regular yearly church budget. Examples of this might be financial aid for seminary students from St. Olaf Lutheran Church, assistance to special programs of the church, student loans for college students of the congregation, and other benevolences beyond St. Olaf Lutheran Church as designated by the board.	Foundation board members are elected to three-year terms by the church council of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Austin, Minnesota.
How is This Accomplished?	How Can I Give?	Suggested Occasions For Special Gifts:
All contributions and income received through investments by the Foundation are used to extend the services of the church.	The Foundation provides a non-profit structure for giving to the work of the church. The Foundation is prepared to receive a wide variety of immediate and deferred designated gifts including: ~Cash gifts of any size ~Memorials ~Bequests in will and estates ~Life insurance ~Securities ~Real Estate	~In memory of a loved one ~The birth of a child ~The birth of a grandchild ~An anniversary ~A birthday ~In honor of a special friend ~A baptism ~Confirmation ~In gratitude of answered prayers ~A graduation ~A wedding ~Just because you feel like giving!
